Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Cristiano Matorin sped through Uruguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Matorin in the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 18th minute of play forced SESI UNITED's goalkeeper Betinho Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25thth minute of the game Cristiano Matorin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Seco in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Betinho Moura prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Carballal to maneuver through the defense. Betinho Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 33rd minute of play. Uruguay's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jaime Cazalla in the 34th minute. The corner led Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano to fire away a dangerous shot which Betinho Moura despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 40 minutes into the game, Tincho Palermo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. Tincho Palermo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Matorin in the 43rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Bruno Beldad got a free kick in the 44th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristiano Matorin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Francisco Seco came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Seco couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute, Maximiliano Escribano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Betinho Moura was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Glauco Aguiar kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tincho Palermo, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 77 minutes into the match, SESI UNITED's goalkeeper Betinho Moura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 81 minutes, Adrianinho Vasconcelos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SESI UNITED and the Uruguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Uruguay booed when SESI UNITED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrianinho Vasconcelos didn't get a good kick on the ball. SESI UNITED's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
