Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) FC Bors's Luiz Fábio Guimarães started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Luiz Fábio Guimarães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Luiz Fábio Guimarães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Bors's Martin Giöck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 5th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Tomas Illescas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 12 minutes, Sven-Ove Tillman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Bors and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th minute, Sven-Ove Tillman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to FC Bors getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Holger Ivarsson hit a great ball. FC Bors's Martin Giöck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 17th minute of play. Sven-Ove Tillman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Fábio Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Ove Tillman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Venezuela booed when FC Bors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fábio Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martin Giöck narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Giöck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Bors's goalie prevented a goal. After 40 minutes FC Bors's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. Tomas Illescas made a great header on Venezuela's corner, it was just that FC Bors's Martin Giöck managed to reach the ball for a save. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Martin Giöck in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Luiz Fábio Guimarães succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 45th playminute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

52 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Bors's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Tomas Illescas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Martin Giöck quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. FC Bors's Martin Giöck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 55th minute of play. When Thomas Andreasson fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Bors's protests and gave Thomas Andreasson a yellow card for diving instead. After 57 played minutes FC Bors got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Andreasson. In the 59th minute of the match Tomas Illescas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martin Giöck skillfully saved the ball. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Luiz Fábio Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 70thth minute of the game Luiz Fábio Guimarães who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Martin Giöck stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 79th minute, Luiz Fábio Guimarães ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Guimarães, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Christer Åkesson's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christer Åkesson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Venezuela booed when FC Bors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christer Åkesson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martin Giöck. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. If Luiz Fábio Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee ended the match the FC Bors players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
