When Claudio Papetti fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fiume Veneto's protests and gave Claudio Papetti a yellow card for diving instead. When Alfonso de la Cruz came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Bolivia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfonso de la Cruz couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute, Andrea Natalucci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mario Fernandino struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Camillo Malatesta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bolivia. Fiume Veneto's Camillo Malatesta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Fontirroig in the 26th minute of play. Alfredo Ferrant blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Camillo Malatesta having to make a save. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 63 minutes of play, Fiume Veneto's Edmondo Urbani made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Camilo Freixa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 70th match minute, Bolivia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joshua Miralles to maneuver through the defense. Demetrio Giorgi kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After 84 minutes of play, Fiume Veneto's Edmondo Urbani made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Camilo Freixa was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Mario Fernandino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Bolivia's Eduardo Fontirroig got a free kick in the 96th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fiume Veneto fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bolivia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
