Facundo Cadaval kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Fenerbahçe51's Clemente Anaya sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mahir Sanak came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Mahir Sanak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 16th minute of the match. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Fenerbahçe51's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mahir Sanak came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute, Joel Gaona made a precise shot to the right of Mahir Sanak. Fenerbahçe51's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 33 minutes into the match, Fenerbahçe51's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Mahir Sanak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luca Zorita scored 0-3 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mahir Sanak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgar Oneț received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dante Lacasa came out and tried to block the shot, but Edgar Oneț slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 40th minute. Tobias Pio kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Mahir Sanak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 45th minute of play. Folker van Zanten kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Mahir Sanak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lorenzo Cazalla in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 55th minute, Luca Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genco Pakel in the 60th minute of play. Joel Gaona received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mahir Sanak came out and tried to block the shot, but Joel Gaona slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 62nd minute. Mahir Sanak made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mahir Sanak having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Facundo Cadaval made a precise shot to the right of Mahir Sanak. Fenerbahçe51's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Mahir Sanak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genco Pakel in the 81st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Fenerbahçe51 getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Devran Kuddusi hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the match, Mexico's Luca Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mahir Sanak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Fenerbahçe51's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Fenerbahçe51's goalie and right to Facundo Cadaval. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Fenerbahçe51's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Folker van Zanten hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Mahir Sanak acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 93rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Joel Gaona. Genco Pakel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Lautaro Mancebo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mahir Sanak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fenerbahçe51.
