An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play forced Spartak de Txurdi's goalkeeper Eulalio Majua to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pang Chuan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pang Chuan in the 27th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Leocadio Castro notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Spartak de Txurdi getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Romeo Esperta hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 43 minutes, Felix Montes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Spartak de Txurdi players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eulalio Majua didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Charro Revuelta made a kick off. After 56 minutes, Pang Chuan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Spartak de Txurdi and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Spartak de Txurdi getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Pang Chuan hit a great ball. If Pang Chuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 59th minute Pang Chuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 60th minute of play forced Spartak de Txurdi's goalkeeper Eulalio Majua to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 played minutes Spartak de Txurdi got a freekick which was hit by Doğan Ferikoğlu. 66 minutes into the game, Raymond Kalla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Spartak de Txurdi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Raymond Kalla kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Eulalio Majua made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 74th minute. Pang Chuan scored 2-0 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pang Chuan might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pang Chuan ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pang Chuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The Spartak de Txurdi support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
