In the 40th minute, one of The Maquis:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for The Maquis. Luca Zorita hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Niels Rooy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Niels Rooy made the kick off in the second half. Walther Jano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, Walther Jano successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In a very dangerous position, a player in The Maquis fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! With a little luck, The Maquis's Walther Jano got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, The Maquis's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Walther Jano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Walther Jano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 86 minutes into the match, The Maquis's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Walther Jano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 87 minutes The Maquis's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Mexico's Luca Zorita getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Joel Gaona was extremely unlucky when he, in the 89th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Walther Jano was a little too slow when Alberto Tafalla got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 93rd minute. The score was now 1-3. The Maquis's Pieter Wilhelm was substituted for Anthony Mancini.
