Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mateusz Matusiak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 18thth minute of the game Felix Montenegro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 1461 Trabzon's Ender Tanacan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Cristian Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ender Tanacan was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Macit Semi during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Macit Semi kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 1461 Trabzon made a substitution. Wu Hao Xu replaced Macit Semi. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Mateusz Matusiak sent off a good shot on target. Amado Chayo got his second yellow card in the match during the 42nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 42 played minutes 1461 Trabzon got a freekick which was hit by Amado Chayo. Bahattin Gültekin hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the 1461 Trabzon defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ender Tanacan. The 1461 Trabzon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ender Tanacan should have stopped the shot. If Wu Hao Xu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ender Tanacan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ender Tanacan. That made the score 4-2 in the 70 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Andino got free with Ender Tanacan in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 79 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Ender Tanacan managed to make a qualified save. 1461 Trabzon's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Ender Tanacan in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ender Tanacan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wu Hao Xu in the 85th minute of play. The corner led 1461 Trabzon's Wu Hao Xu to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because 1461 Trabzon had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
