Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Charlie Boström started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 4th minute of play forced A.A. Francana's goalkeeper Renan Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Renan Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 8 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Elliott Bergsten came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Charlie Boström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. In the 11th minute of the match A.A. Francana got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Charlie Boström ran over to the corner to take the kick. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renan Melo having to interfere. In the 17th minute Charlie Boström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Charlie Boström was slow to take the kick. During this time A.A. Francana's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Charlie Boström almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Elliott Bergsten came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the A.A. Francana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elliott Bergsten couldn't finish the play. A collision led to A.A. Francana getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Caetano Pique hit a great ball. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A.A. Francana's Renan Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 37th minute of play. In the 43rd minute Charlie Boström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 played minutes A.A. Francana got a freekick which was hit by Joel Campos. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. If Elliott Bergsten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, A.A. Francana's Francisco Secco got a free kick in the 66th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elliott Bergsten in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. A.A. Francana's Renan Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 73rd minute of play. Renan Melo made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Renan Melo in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
