In the 3rd minute, one of Motståndarlaget:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Motståndarlaget. After having played for 13 minutes, Henry Nordkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Motståndarlaget's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henry Nordkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Jano Maciel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Jano Maciel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pascual Carballar's late challenge caught a Motståndarlaget's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pascual Carballar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascual Carballar to maneuver through the defense. Fero Sabon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Manzanares was a little too slow when Jano Maciel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 1-0. Thomas Ravelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santino Seco in the 24th minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Lennart Browall sent off a good shot on target. Fredrik Aronsson kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 32nd minute of play forced Motståndarlaget's goalkeeper Thomas Ravelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abram Sarmiento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Motståndarlaget getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Kurt Söderberg hit a great ball. Thomas Ravelli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abram Sarmiento's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. 56 minutes into the match, Motståndarlaget's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Thomas Ravelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Axel Montenegro sped through Motståndarlaget's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Thomas Ravelli. Abram Sarmiento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Thomas Ravelli made a huge save. Jano Maciel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Lennart Browall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jano Maciel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Motståndarlaget's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Mastache came free, but Thomas Ravelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 76 minutes of play, Colombia's Ignacio Mastache made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thomas Ravelli was left in no man's land by his defense there! Through an outstanding action, after 78 minutes, Thomas Ravelli successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lennart Browall went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Thomas Ravelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Mastache in the 88th minute of play forced Motståndarlaget's goalkeeper Thomas Ravelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lennart Browall's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Thomas Ravelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Secada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Colombia had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
