After taking down the ball on Colombia's corner Axel Montenegro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bran Allison quite easily take care of the ball. In the 66th match minute, Cactos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gary Petrie to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute, Gary Petrie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute, Luisinho Maciel made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 92nd minute, Abram Secada left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colombia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. If Luisinho Maciel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cactos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
