Andor Mester showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 16 played minutes Szombathelyi Haladás got a freekick which was hit by Jakab Szekeres. In the 17th minute, Tomas Berganza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Mózes Bartha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Miguel Miralles hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Abraham Alguacil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Abraham Alguacil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andor Mester breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andor Mester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 74th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from István Szőlősi, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 79th minute Olivér Hegedűs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Nándor Jászberényi fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Szombathelyi Haladás's protests and gave Nándor Jászberényi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Panama booed when Szombathelyi Haladás was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nándor Jászberényi didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Olivér Hegedűs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the last second Andor Mester throw himself and got hold of the ball when Tomas Berganza in the 90thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The goalkeeper, Andor Mester, was totally fooled by Panama's Abraham Alguacil, who 93 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.
