Gavril Isărescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. 46 minutes into the game, Manole Dimofte threw the ball into play from the sideline. El Salvador's Marco Tamayo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Moises Fernandino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Moises Fernandino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jesus Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After having played for 70 minutes, Eduard Encuțoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UFC Tariverde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduard Encuțoiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th minute, Jesus Carvallo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute Eduard Encuțoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. El Salvador's Moises Fernandino got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joshua Curbelo kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The El Salvador players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented UFC Tariverde from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
