Artūrs Sagalats could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 2nd minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Jānis Lielais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute Artūrs Sagalats shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Lautaro Mancebo made a precise shot to the right of Jānis Lielais. SK Annenieki's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in SK Annenieki's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jānis Lielais came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jānis Lielais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 15th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Indris Tomass, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Reinholds Jaunzems recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind SK Annenieki's goalkeeper Jānis Lielais, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, SK Annenieki's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Jānis Lielais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jānis Lielais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 23rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jāzeps Pics got free with Dante Lacasa in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as SK Annenieki's Drosmis Kalnaiza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dante Lacasa. That made the score 1-2 after 27 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jāzeps Pics got free with Dante Lacasa in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 34 minutes, Artūrs Sagalats made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Mexico's Dante Lacasa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jānis Lielais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Jānis Lielais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 39th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Jānis Lielais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute Indris Tomass shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Indris Tomass kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artūrs Sagalats in the 54th minute of play. Renāts Skipors's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Renāts Skipors helped the player get up and apologised. After 56 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SK Annenieki! Jānis Lielais had in the 57thth minute some difficulties stopping Joel Gaona's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jānis Lielais breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jānis Lielais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 59th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Jānis Lielais in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 66 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jānis Lielais, 2-3. Jānis Lielais was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Alberto Tafalla capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alberto Tafalla really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Jānis Lielais in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Indris Tomass in the 78th minute of the match. Jāzeps Pics received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo put it in 2-5 from a short distance just to the right of Jānis Lielais. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artūrs Sagalats in the 87th minute of play. SK Annenieki's Jānis Lielais proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save SK Annenieki from getting a goal against them. 92 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jānis Lielais made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-6. A collision led to SK Annenieki getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Artūrs Sagalats hit a great ball. The Mexico supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mexico would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
