In the 36th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Tasis to maneuver through the defense. 康凡默 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute of the match Costa Rica got a corner. 湖南米粉贼好吃's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Tasis ran over to the corner to take the kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. 康凡默 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Tasis in the 53rd minute. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 蒋默宁 in the 64th minute of play. Lautaro Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Hugo Ferrant in the 71st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by 湖南米粉贼好吃's 郑振辰. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Axel Tasis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Axel Tasis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 康凡默 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Costa Rica's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
