In the 5th minute Henry Tolsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Tolsson in the 15th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Åke Lundström kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-0 in the 16 minute of play. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carl Askelöf read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Henry Tolsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Arman Högström could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Jonathan Ferrant however easily saved by the left post. Åke Lundström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Arman Högström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Arman Högström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carl Askelöf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 57th minute of play. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. The supporters of Boomerang Bombers booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boomerang Bombers's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
