Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Torsten Melberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, PrimeTimeBoys FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hampus Hagberg to maneuver through the defense. Torsten Melberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 11th minute of play. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 18th minute of play forced PrimeTimeBoys FC's goalkeeper Torsten Melberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. PrimeTimeBoys FC's Torsten Melberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 25th minute of play. Torsten Melberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great ball. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Torsten Melberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd minute Majed Ben Ashimi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of PrimeTimeBoys FC booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as PrimeTimeBoys FC's Erik Hegg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dante Lacasa. That made the score 2-0 after 48 minutes of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erik Hegg was the one to do the kick off. In the 58thth minute of the game Luca Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PrimeTimeBoys FC's Torsten Melberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Torsten Melberg made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Torsten Melberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Lautaro Mancebo ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Mexico players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
