Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tomas Illescas made the kick off which started today's match. GÓRNIK ZABRZE's Kajetan Duszenski suffered a sore thigh after 5 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 5 minutes into the game, Jose Correa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GÓRNIK ZABRZE the free kick. After 7 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Przemyslaw Del Piero shot from long distance after 7 played minutes, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant with certain difficulty stopped from going in under the crossbar. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Florian Marciewicz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miromir Domamir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Przemyslaw Del Piero tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florian Marciewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Przemyslaw Del Piero made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes in the game, Patricio Costa fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Florian Marciewicz having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florian Marciewicz saved GÓRNIK ZABRZE from getting behind. Przemyslaw Del Piero took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 66th minute, Domenico Muzzolon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Miromir Domamir came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Przemyslaw Del Piero's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jonathan Venegas the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Venezuela protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jonathan Venegas had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 71 minutes into the game, one of Venezuela:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Venezuela:s Jonathan Ferrant showed great skill when he stopped Przemyslaw Del Piero:s penalty. After 74 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Przemyslaw Del Piero who took care of the corner kick. Alex Chicote thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Jonathan Ferrant, a very annoying self made goal in the 74th minute which led to 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Mielak, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After 85 minutes, Bogumil Kempka mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GÓRNIK ZABRZE and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bogumil Kempka kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Florian Marciewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 88th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, GÓRNIK ZABRZE's Bogumil Kempka got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. Yngve Björklund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 97 played minutes, GÓRNIK ZABRZE's Yngve Björklund shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in GÓRNIK ZABRZE reached it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The GÓRNIK ZABRZE fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
