Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hüsmen Ünlem's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Joaquin Gayoso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jaime Cazalla took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ingar Myklebust. Galatasaray A.Ş.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ingar Myklebust didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Francisco Seco went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Alberto Gisbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ingar Myklebust tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Lisandro Quentin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciccio Graziani in the 38th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hüsmen Ünlem in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. Süleyman Tanyeri made in the 45th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Lisandro Quentin. Maximiliano Escribano scored 0-3 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ingar Myklebust, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hüsmen Ünlem to make the kick off. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hüsmen Ünlem in the 53rd minute of play. Süleyman Tanyeri hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 56th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Galatasaray A.Ş.. Hasan Genişyürek hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lisandro Quentin in the 67th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Lisandro Quentin came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee gave Galatasaray A.Ş. a penalty, 72 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ciccio Graziani, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso. 1-3. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lisandro Quentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After some careless play in the Galatasaray A.Ş. defense, Francisco Seco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ingar Myklebust. The Galatasaray A.Ş. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ingar Myklebust should have stopped the shot. Maximiliano Escribano scored 1-5 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ingar Myklebust, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a free kick in the 84th minute. Galatasaray A.Ş.'s Ingar Myklebust proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Galatasaray A.Ş. from getting a goal against them. In the 87th match minute, Galatasaray A.Ş. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo Machado to maneuver through the defense. Galatasaray A.Ş.'s Ingar Myklebust proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Galatasaray A.Ş. from getting a goal against them. In the 90th minute, Francisco Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 94th minute Ciccio Graziani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Despite this Joaquin Gayoso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hüsmen Ünlem in the 97th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
