Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Kjell-Arne Skott got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Ronnys Lärjungar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orvar Glanselius to maneuver through the defense. Kjell-Arne Skott kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvin Bruhn having to interfere. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvin Bruhn having to interfere. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Edvin Bruhn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Tommy Beck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edvin Bruhn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Edvin Bruhn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 30th minute of play forced Ronnys Lärjungar's goalkeeper Edvin Bruhn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. George Esbjörnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Patrik Ahlrot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronnys Lärjungar's Edvin Bruhn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 64th minute of play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 65th minute. After 66 played minutes Ronnys Lärjungar got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Ahlrot. A collision led to Ronnys Lärjungar getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Patrik Ahlrot hit a great ball. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 73rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Edvin Bruhn could save by the left post. After 73 played minutes Ronnys Lärjungar got a freekick which was hit by Kåre Mattsson. In the 80th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Ronnys Lärjungar's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 80th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kjell-Arne Skott in the 87th minute of the match. In the 96th minute Sverker Björk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
