The penalty shot was made by Edmundo Espiga, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of S.João de Areias's Yusuf Ziya Sertaç. 0-1. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torcato Boaventura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of S.João de Areias's Yusuf Ziya Sertaç. Yusuf Ziya Sertaç was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bonifacio Aznar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmundo Espiga was extremely unlucky when he, in the 55th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a rather tough play, S.João de Areias's Fatih Tekke got a free kick in the 56th minute. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferenc van Nistelrooij in the 59th minute of play. Moises Tafalla kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Bonifacio Aznar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bonifacio Aznar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
