The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Serafim Mangueira got free with Rolando Noboa in the 2nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ahmet Ege Yalaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Turan Türünk, made in the 6th minute of the game. Ahmet Ege Yalaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 9th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, Hayrettin Yaşam recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rolando Noboa. Hayrettin Yaşam showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 22 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ahmet Haşim Çelikkan. Ahmet Ege Yalaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 25th minute of the match. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ahmet Ege Yalaz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Ahmet Ege Yalaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milagros Fraga in the 30th minute of the match. Hayrettin Yaşam could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. In the 42nd minute Milagros Fraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Ege Yalaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hayrettin Yaşam went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Ahmet Ege Yalaz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 56th minute. Ahmet Haşim Çelikkan struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sarı kaya FK. Ahmet Ege Yalaz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 61st minute. A collision led to Sarı kaya FK getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Turan Türünk hit a great ball. 66 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ahmet Ege Yalaz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Eliseo Mina came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Mina couldn't finish the play. Sarı kaya FK made a substitution. Hasan Hüseyin Kayaalp replaced Tayfur Savni. Ahmet Haşim Çelikkan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafim Mangueira in the 78th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sarı kaya FK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Peru had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
