In the 6th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cüneyt Baba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Erdi Demir sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Saffet Maksum took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. Saffet Maksum's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jonathan Ferrant firmly grabbed it by the left post. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After 27 played minutes ALTAY MYTHS got a freekick which was hit by Hıdır Vahdet. Mahsun Şahinalp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when ALTAY MYTHS's Erdi Demir fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from İbrahim Akın in the 32nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Saffet Maksum tried to sneak it across the goal line. Saffet Maksum kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 36thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Venezuela's keeper Jonathan Ferrant was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 37th match minute, ALTAY MYTHS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erdi Demir to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 51st match minute, ALTAY MYTHS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Çelikan Akkan to maneuver through the defense. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erdi Demir in the 54th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mahsun Şahinalp in the 56th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Cüneyt Baba in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Çelikan Akkan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saffet Maksum in the 61st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 66 minutes, Saffet Maksum managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ALTAY MYTHS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saffet Maksum was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute, Patricio Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. ALTAY MYTHS's Mesut Alpaslan was substituted for Erdi Demir. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. If İbrahim Akın had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cüneyt Baba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
