Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antoni Parzysz, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. 10 minutes into the game, Antoni Parzysz lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Jonathan Ferrant. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 13th minute of play forced CWKS Legia's goalkeeper Mariusz Mielak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antoni Parzysz's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antoni Parzysz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to CWKS Legia getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Antoni Parzysz hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 16th minute of play forced CWKS Legia's goalkeeper Mariusz Mielak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Dominik Pruss reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ludomir Barowicz got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 27th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Napoleon Czerwinski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antoni Parzysz in the 42nd minute of play. Mariusz Mielak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 44th minute of play. If Dominik Pruss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 47 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mariusz Mielak was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The supporters of CWKS Legia booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mariusz Mielak made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. In the 58th match minute, CWKS Legia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Witomir Kaczeniak to maneuver through the defense. Edgar Zabrzeski hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 62nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th match minute, CWKS Legia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Borys Dzerwucki to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. CWKS Legia's Barnaba Bilicki was substituted for Borys Dzerwucki. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antoni Parzysz's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. CWKS Legia's Napoleon Czerwinski got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. CWKS Legia's Robert Pliszka was substituted for Beniamin Babicki. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ludomir Barowicz in the 83rd minute of the match. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Mariusz Mielak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. CWKS Legia made a substitution. Sylwester Kociniewski replaced Witomir Kaczeniak. A collision led to CWKS Legia getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Sylwester Kociniewski hit a great ball. CWKS Legia's Mariusz Mielak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save CWKS Legia from getting a goal against them. When Sylwester Kociniewski fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CWKS Legia's protests and gave Sylwester Kociniewski a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antoni Parzysz in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The CWKS Legia fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
