Colombia's Luis Cazalla was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kalle Askberg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 22 minutes of play, Sundborn IF's Ted Holmgren made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 24th minute Alf Hansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abram Sarmiento in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kalle Askberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Abram Sarmiento got free in front of the goal in the 28th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Kalle Askberg was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 31st minute of play forced Sundborn IF's goalkeeper Kalle Askberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kalle Askberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute Kevin Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kalle Askberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abram Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. Henning Bennet made in the 53rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Jan Håning immediately put the ball in play. In the 58th minute, Erland Kvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sundborn IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Kalle Askberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 65th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Sundborn IF's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Kalle Askberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Sundborn IF's Aqşin Aläkbärov was substituted for Jan Håning. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. When Henning Bennet fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sundborn IF's protests and gave Henning Bennet a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Colombia booed when Sundborn IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henning Bennet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kalle Askberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sundborn IF fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colombia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
