He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Venezuela reached it. Kenneth Kvarnström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Valter Parve stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Valter Parve tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kenneth Kvarnström made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 70th minute. Kenneth Kvarnström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 72nd minute. Kenneth Kvarnström didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 73rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Yngve Haegg got a throw-in 78 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ivan Vollander. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Vollander in the 80th minute of play. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kenneth Kvarnström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Yngve Haegg's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yngve Haegg helped the player get up and apologised. Snett★inåt★bakåt's Hugo Kuse suffered a sore foot after 93 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Tomas Illescas charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Illescas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
