Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the game, Jonathan Venegas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Snett★inåt★bakåt the free kick. 5 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivan Vollander. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valter Parve in the 8th minute. The long shot by Ola Britz in the 11th minute really tested Jonathan Ferrant's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenneth Kvarnström having to interfere. Fernando Carvalhal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the last second Jonathan Ferrant throw himself and got hold of the ball when Fernando Carvalhal in the 20thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. If Valter Parve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kenneth Kvarnström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomas Illescas hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Kenneth Kvarnström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 33rd minute of play. If Fernando Carvalhal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kenneth Kvarnström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fernando Carvalhal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Fernando Carvalhal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Vollander in the 54th minute of play. Snett★inåt★bakåt's Kenneth Kvarnström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Snett★inåt★bakåt from getting a goal against them. Valter Parve hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Snett★inåt★bakåt's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenneth Kvarnström came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Camilo Gaos's late challenge caught a Snett★inåt★bakåt's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Gaos helped the player get up and apologised. After 63 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. In the 65th match minute, Snett★inåt★bakåt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Kuse to maneuver through the defense. Kenneth Kvarnström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 65th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernando Carvalhal in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 69 minutes Snett★inåt★bakåt's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Tomas Illescas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Snett★inåt★bakåt's Kenneth Kvarnström did a great save. The supporters of Snett★inåt★bakåt booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joshua Secada didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute, Fernando Carvalhal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Snett★inåt★bakåt fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Kenneth Kvarnström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th match minute, Snett★inåt★bakåt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valter Parve to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Snett★inåt★bakåt's Yngve Haegg got a free kick in the 81st minute. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Kenneth Kvarnström made a huge save. In the 94th minute, Fernando Carvalhal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
