In the 3rd minute, Bai Peng Ning got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 8th minute of play forced Nusnäs IF's goalkeeper Clodoveo Rojas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bai Peng Ning had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 12 played minutes Nusnäs IF got a freekick which was hit by Ciriaco Gregory. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Bai Peng Ning kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bai Peng Ning got free with Julio Vera in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bai Peng Ning in the 36th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bai Peng Ning's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

52 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Bai Peng Ning came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bai Peng Ning took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Bai Peng Ning stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Bai Peng Ning tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bai Peng Ning in the 59th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Bai Peng Ning's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bai Peng Ning in the 62nd minute of play. Bai Peng Ning recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th minute Bai Peng Ning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 74 played minutes Nusnäs IF got a freekick which was hit by André Luís King. 81 minutes into the match, Nusnäs IF's Bai Peng Ning sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bai Peng Ning, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
