The supporters of Rombiolo BR booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Berganza didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute, Rombiolo BR's Biagio Chioda dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 14th match minute, Rombiolo BR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Schiacciacasse to maneuver through the defense. Emilio Grassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Emilio Grassi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute Abraham Alguacil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Grassi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on Panama's corner Abraham Alguacil fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Emilio Grassi quite easily take care of the ball. Emilio Grassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 25th minute of the match. Abraham Alguacil scored 1-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emilio Grassi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Panama booed when Rombiolo BR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francesco Melfi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emilio Grassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 40th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Rombiolo BR's zone, Tomas Berganza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emilio Grassi came out of the goal and Tomas Berganza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Tomas Berganza made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Cambeiro to maneuver through the defense. 52 minutes into the game, Isidoro Sarmiento recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emilio Grassi. Isidoro Sarmiento showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmine Saturno, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Francesco Melfi came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Tomas Berganza dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Emilio Grassi, 1-3. When Francesco Melfi fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rombiolo BR's protests and gave Francesco Melfi a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of Rombiolo BR:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Panama:s goal. In the 63rd minute there was a penalty for Panama. Abraham Alguacil stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Emilio Grassi. 1-4. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rombiolo BR's Fulvio Piccone was substituted for Aldo Padula. With a little luck, Rombiolo BR's Emilio Grassi got control of the ball when Isidoro Sarmiento tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aaron Barrios hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Rombiolo BR's Fulvio Piccone got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the last second Emilio Grassi throw himself and got hold of the ball when Tomas Berganza in the 84thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carmine Saturno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the match, Biagio Chioda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Biagio Chioda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. In the 91st minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Grassi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Panama could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rombiolo BR throughout the match.
