Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

52 minutes into the match, International Thunders's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Thorsten Ternes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The tension between the International Thunders and the Peru players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 55 played minutes International Thunders got a freekick which was hit by Oskar Vahlberg. In the 58th match minute, International Thunders was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlo Gerick to maneuver through the defense. Thorsten Ternes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 58th minute of play. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thorsten Ternes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, International Thunders's goalkeeper Thorsten Ternes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luz Tejedor. International Thunders's Percival Costa was substituted for Loukianos Staikos. International Thunders's Thorsten Ternes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 67th minute of play. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tibor Bäuschlein, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. The throw-in from Lionel 柯景亦 in the 70th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Antonio Tenorio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Thorsten Ternes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Peru's Rafael Gallo in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye International Thunders's goalie prevented a goal. The corner went over the outstretched arms of International Thunders's goalie and right to Antonio Tenorio. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. International Thunders's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Peru's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
