With a left leg Alvaro Cirelli saved Kroton F.C. from getting behind. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvaro Cirelli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Cirelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saul Sanduru kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Peru were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Kroton F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Eliseo Mina heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 15th minute, Anthony Alvarado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Edgar Ieberink had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 18 minutes into the game, Fabrizio Vieri threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 19 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alvaro Cirelli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Kroton F.C.'s goalkeeper Alvaro Cirelli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Fabrizio Vieri made a throw-in in the 23rd minute of the game. In the 23rd minute, Julian Murillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 27th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Cirelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Alvaro Cirelli. Kroton F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Alvaro Cirelli came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Eliseo Mina. But to his dismay, Eliseo Mina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Alvaro Cirelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabrizio Vieri made in the 40th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Johannes Støle immediately put the ball in play. In the 41st minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Cirelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Kroton F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Mina came free, but Alvaro Cirelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Concetto Donato to strike the kick off in the second half. Johannes Støle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Veli Vefa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 58th minute of play forced Kroton F.C.'s goalkeeper Alvaro Cirelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 60 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kroton F.C.'s Saul Sanduru got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Julian Murillo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alvaro Cirelli. The goal made the score 0-4. After 69 minutes of play, Kroton F.C.'s Concetto Donato made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! 72 minutes into the game, Fabrizio Vieri threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Anthony Alvarado quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 78th minute, Fabrizio Vieri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anthony Alvarado hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After 80 minutes of play, Kroton F.C.'s Cristiano Chitarroni made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. In the 91stth minute of the game Rafael Gallo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kroton F.C.'s Alvaro Cirelli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kroton F.C.'s Alvaro Cirelli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Kroton F.C. from getting a goal against them. The Peru players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
