After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Emílio Águas hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. São Francisco FC86 were victorious despite being under pressure from Venezuela for much of the match.
