In the 17th minute, Damiano Mian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Gonzo Style f.c booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucas Savenije. Lucas Savenije dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 29th minute, Ecuador's Antonio Arias seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Antonio Arias the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ecuador protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Antonio Arias had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of Ecuador:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gonzo Style f.c:s goal. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Lucas Savenije tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 82 minutes, Enrico Tassotti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gonzo Style f.c's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enrico Tassotti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrico Tassotti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 85 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ennio Fino who took care of the corner kick. Gonzo Style f.c's Ennio Fino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cesare Natalin kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
