After having played for 16 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 17 minutes, Tomas Berganza made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Inacio F.C.'s João Oliveira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Panama's Tomas Berganza managed to work through Inacio F.C.'s defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Tomas Berganza dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. João Oliveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Alguacil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Inacio F.C. booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Miralles didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The Panama supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Panama would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
