But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonardo Leoz kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 23rd minute of play forced Hub Yap Para kap's goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ingvar Vallin. In the 33rd minute Ingvar Vallin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingvar Vallin in the 33rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ingvar Vallin in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Esteve Argenis hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Rolan McLian's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Vallin, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Ingvar Vallin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Hub Yap Para kap's Peter Schmeichel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Hub Yap Para kap from getting a goal against them. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Ingvar Vallin came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
