Edu Atila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 26th minute of the match. Edu Atila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C.A.MALVINAS.ARG's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eurico Mesquita in the 31st minute. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.A.MALVINAS.ARG's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 69th minute, but Edu Atila got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving C.A.MALVINAS.ARG hanging dry this time. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.A.MALVINAS.ARG's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Edu Atila quite easily take care of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Edu Atila in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Generoso Matai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agustín Saelices could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Edu Atila made a huge save. In the 78th minute, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. In the 84th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Felix Montes hit a great ball. After having played for 92 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edu Atila having to interfere.
