Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Günter Vogelweide in the 84th minute of play. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Günter Vogelweide in the 87th minute of play. After 92 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Alan Tamayo. Sydney FC's Ferdinand Mendy got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Ogășanu came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Chile had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
