After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Lucjan Orling managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olimpia HSB's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucjan Orling was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olimpia HSB's Damian Grucza quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Abel Carballo, made in the 9th minute of the game. Hugo Ferrant made in the 18th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Lautaro Puig immediately put the ball in play. Lautaro Puig scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ksawery Wozniak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 26 minutes into the match, Axel Tasis notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Olimpia HSB's Ksawery Wozniak. Ksawery Wozniak was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 30 minutes into the match, Abel Carballo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ksawery Wozniak. Olimpia HSB's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abel Carballo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Axel Tasis sped through Olimpia HSB's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ksawery Wozniak. The Olimpia HSB players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Costa Rica were winning 0-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Tasis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A throw-in in the 53rd minute of the game was made by Efrain Moruga with Eliseo Noboa as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lautaro Puig during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. Abel Carballo's late challenge caught a Olimpia HSB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abel Carballo helped the player get up and apologised. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Sylwester Merski came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Aaron Alcocer took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Ksawery Wozniak to make any attempt to save it. Hugo Ferrant made in the 90th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Olimpia HSB's Borys Mentus. Olimpia HSB's attentive Jaroslaw Klewinski managed to snatch the ball when Efrain Moruga made a throw-in in the 93rd minute of the game. The Costa Rica players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
