The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Siim Kikas was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Siim Kikas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 5th minute of the match. Erwin Backes hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye De Gulden Draak's goalie prevented a goal. In the 15th match minute, De Gulden Draak was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Peres to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, De Gulden Draak's Erwin Backes got a free kick in the 16th minute. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but De Gulden Draak's Siim Kikas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 20 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. Manuel Peres struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for De Gulden Draak. Erwin Backes hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 35 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Siim Kikas was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Ecuador booed when De Gulden Draak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Ebner didn't get a good kick on the ball. De Gulden Draak's Siim Kikas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 42nd minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erwin Backes in the 57th minute of play. De Gulden Draak's Siim Kikas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save De Gulden Draak from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, De Gulden Draak's Siim Kikas got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, De Gulden Draak's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Siim Kikas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Siim Kikas made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. 72 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of De Gulden Draak's Siim Kikas. Siim Kikas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Justin Ostrowicki kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. De Gulden Draak's Erwin Backes got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, De Gulden Draak's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Siim Kikas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Pablo Ebner fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored De Gulden Draak's protests and gave Pablo Ebner a yellow card for diving instead. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
