Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Maikel Lammers started the match with the kick off. 9 minutes into the match, Northern Titans's Maikel Lammers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Nores narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jacobo Nores made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Roeland van der Werff sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Maikel Lammers kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jacobo Nores. That made the score 2-0 in the 14 minute of play. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Primitivo Escribano hit a great ball. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maikel Lammers in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Northern Titans was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerald Maurits didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Northern Titans's Roeland van der Werff got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Jan-Joost Zevenhuizen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Covarrubias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maikel Lammers in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jacobo Nores made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roeland van der Werff in the 33rd minute. Jacobo Nores was a little too slow when Neeme Van Achteren got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 5-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Maikel Lammers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Northern Titans's supporters rose to their feet, but Maikel Lammers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Nores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roeland van der Werff's late challenge caught a Paraguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roeland van der Werff helped the player get up and apologised. Jan-Joost Zevenhuizen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Pardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 44th minute of play forced Northern Titans's goalkeeper Jan-Joost Zevenhuizen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maikel Lammers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacobo Nores read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Roeland van der Werff got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jaime Pardo was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maikel Lammers in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Nores saved Paraguay from getting behind. 60 minutes into the game, Northern Titans's Neeme Van Achteren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacobo Nores made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Heerspink in the 64th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maikel Lammers in the 66th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rogier Kort during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some careless play in the Paraguay defense, Maikel Lammers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. The Paraguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Nores should have stopped the shot. Bert Struik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruud Arnolds in the 92nd minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Paraguay players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Northern Titans.
