Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tomas Illescas made the kick off which started today's match. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Alfons Glad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 5 minutes, Hannes Haraldsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Segmon IF and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tomas Illescas took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfons Glad. Alfons Glad dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Leif Löfdahl received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Leif Löfdahl slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 12th minute. After 18 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfons Glad was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lars-Erik Lidström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute Robert Dubiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Segmon IF's Alfons Glad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 30th minute of play. Robert Dubiel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leif Löfdahl took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Dubiel in the 39th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leif Löfdahl stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Segmon IF booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Segmon IF's Robert Dubiel in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. In the 54th minute Robert Dubiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Hannes Haraldsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leif Löfdahl in the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Leif Löfdahl made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. After having played for 81 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 85 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Dubiel came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Dubiel in the 88th minute of play. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Hannes Haraldsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Hannes Haraldsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Segmon IF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
