Lembit Kukkur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Alberto Tafalla hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 39th minute of play forced FC Tarbja's goalkeeper Ferdinand Van Mechelen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Mancebo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferdinand Van Mechelen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute, Alberto Tafalla fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ferdinand Van Mechelen, passed just outside the right post. After a defensive mix-up in FC Tarbja's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferdinand Van Mechelen came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Tarbja's Siim Talts was substituted for Siim Nisu. FC Tarbja's Tõnn Lauter was substituted for Mustafa Pektemek. Lautaro Mancebo in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ferdinand Van Mechelen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An annoying self made goal, 2-4. In the 94th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Van Mechelen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Mexico supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mexico would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
