Rafael Abeita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jesper Vollander blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafael Abeita having to make a save. When Clemente Isidor fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CLATHU's protests and gave Clemente Isidor a yellow card for diving instead. Rafael Abeita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesper Vollander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jesper Vollander might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rafael Abeita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jesper Vollander ran back to his position shaking his head. Rafael Abeita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesper Vollander, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Rafael Abeita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesper Vollander in the 27th minute of play. After 28 minutes of play CLATHU's Clemente Isidor was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After having played for 29 minutes, Jesper Vollander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ZigZag Athletic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jesper Vollander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jesper Vollander's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafael Abeita read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Jesper Vollander notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of CLATHU's Rafael Abeita. Rafael Abeita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the CLATHU defense, Gösta Messi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rafael Abeita. The CLATHU fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rafael Abeita should have stopped the shot. After the first half ZigZag Athletic were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Atilano Celipe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, CLATHU's Rafael Abeita got control of the ball when Gösta Messi tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Tonio during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 52nd match minute, CLATHU was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Tonio to maneuver through the defense. The ZigZag Athletic fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. ZigZag Athletic's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
