In the 4th minute Merusca F&P - CIMZ were awarded a corner. Régis de Souza went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Raimundo Amorim getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After having played for 7 minutes, Fabiano Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabiano Abraão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Fabiano Abraão notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Aesir FC FSCMZ's Duda Soeiro. Duda Soeiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 13 minutes into the match, Aesir FC FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Pitta came free, but Duda Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Augusto Paranaense hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After having played for 16 minutes, Adelino Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aesir FC FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adelino Silveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Aesir FC FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Fabiano Abraão came free, but Duda Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Júnior Vianna seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Júnior Vianna the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Merusca F&P - CIMZ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Júnior Vianna had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Merusca F&P - CIMZ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 20th minute. Penalty! Erivaldo Tavares's late challenge caught a Merusca F&P - CIMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erivaldo Tavares helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th match minute, Aesir FC FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erivaldo Tavares to maneuver through the defense. After 28 played minutes, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Régis de Souza shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Duda Soeiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Merusca F&P - CIMZ reached it. Fabiano Abraão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Duda Soeiro having to make a save. In the 34th minute Fabiano Abraão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duda Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomás Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willian Trevisan having to interfere. Claudinho Sá made in the 40th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Carlos Alberto Dias however managed to control. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thomás Motta made a kick off. With a little luck, Aesir FC FSCMZ's Duda Soeiro got control of the ball when Fabiano Abraão tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Fabiano Abraão came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Merusca F&P - CIMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabiano Abraão couldn't finish the play. 67 minutes into the match, Aesir FC FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Régis de Souza came free, but Duda Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Claudinho Sá got a free kick in the 77th minute. After 78 played minutes Merusca F&P - CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Sá. Carlos Augusto Esteves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Duda Soeiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Aesir FC FSCMZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dorian de Moraes was slow to take the kick. During this time Merusca F&P - CIMZ's players had a chance to rest. In the 88th minute, Carlos Augusto Esteves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
