After a defensive mix-up in FC Röyers Raketer's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Turina came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 9 minutes into the match, FC Röyers Raketer's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Ivan Turina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Ecuador's Agustín Saelices to fire away a dangerous shot which Ivan Turina despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Cymbal in the 13th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Turina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Turina having to interfere. After having played for 19 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Agustín Saelices's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivan Turina read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Ivan Turina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 56 minutes FC Röyers Raketer's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. FC Röyers Raketer's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Cymbal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Ivan Turina to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Åke Byström in the 84th minute of play. Julian Cymbal charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julian Cymbal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 87th match minute, FC Röyers Raketer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingvar Askstedt to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Dean Irving managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Röyers Raketer's supporters rose to their feet, but Dean Irving was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Cymbal, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 90 minutes into the game, FC Röyers Raketer's Julian Cymbal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0.
