But to his dismay, André Lameirinhas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. A collision led to Riala Goif getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Van Lentz hit a great ball. In the 14th minute of the match, Jesper Biörkman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Joaquin Gayoso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Tom Bur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 19thth minute of the game Francisco Seco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Riala Goif's Tom Bur was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Van Lentz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Van Lentz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After 26 minutes, Francisco Seco made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Riala Goif's Tom Bur tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Riala Goif getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Tebogo Mandla hit a great ball. In the 38th minute, Francisco Seco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tom Bur was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 46th match minute, Riala Goif was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alkestis Rousakis to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Van Lentz to make the kick off. Francisco Seco struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Tom Bur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Francisco Seco took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Tom Bur to make any attempt to save it. Alberto Gisbert struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Tom Bur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. When Riala Goif's Jesper Biörkman in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jaime Cazalla struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Tom Bur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Tom Bur made a huge save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Uruguay had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
