The supporters of Kuzeytepe Spor Kulübü booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kuzeytepe Spor Kulübü's Mustafa Anıl Kutlutekin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 12th minute of play. After 17 played minutes Kuzeytepe Spor Kulübü got a freekick which was hit by Hamit Refet. 21 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Maximilian Stålman came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mustafa Anıl Kutlutekin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 27th minute of the match. When Felix Luque fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mexico's protests and gave Felix Luque a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of Mexico:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kuzeytepe Spor Kulübü:s goal. Mustafa Anıl Kutlutekin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Kuzeytepe Spor Kulübü players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. Kuzeytepe Spor Kulübü's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. Hamit Refet kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Lautaro Mancebo took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mustafa Anıl Kutlutekin. Mustafa Anıl Kutlutekin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The Kuzeytepe Spor Kulübü fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
