But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cyryl Kiewra couldn't finish the play. In the 9th match minute, Lekparken FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erling Boklund to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Lekparken FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdurrahman Aslan didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Abdurrahman Aslan fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lekparken FC's protests and gave Abdurrahman Aslan a yellow card for diving instead. After 43 minutes, Jose Correa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Lekparken FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lekparken FC's Christer Igelström was substituted for Erling Boklund. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Cyryl Kiewra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cyryl Kiewra made a kick off. Måns Stålman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Måns Stålman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cyryl Kiewra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 62 minutes, Cyryl Kiewra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lekparken FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cyryl Kiewra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 64th minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sigge Holmberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Mauro Bastos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Tomas Illescas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sigge Holmberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyryl Kiewra in the 79th minute of play. Lekparken FC made a substitution. Holger Joensson replaced Mauro Bastos. After 82 played minutes Lekparken FC got a freekick which was hit by Henry Holmberg. 82 minutes into the match, Lekparken FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Sigge Holmberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Måns Stålman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Måns Stålman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. The audience was convinced that Jonas Walroth's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 96th minute of the game.
