Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durval Dracena in the 22nd minute of play. Roma Capoccia were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gervasio Tolino took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amancio Cambranes in the 32nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. When Gerrit Mortier came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Roma Capoccia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerrit Mortier couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jan-Joost Werner. Roma Capoccia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Durval Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Gustave Paelinck kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 2-1 in the 42 minute of play. Jan-Joost Werner came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Jan-Joost Werner made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Gerrit Mortier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Roma Capoccia's goalkeeper Jan-Joost Werner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amancio Cambranes in the 71st minute of the match. Roma Capoccia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gervasio Tolino in the 72nd minute. The corner ended in Gervasio Tolino almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. After 73 played minutes Roma Capoccia got a freekick which was hit by Elia Cirulli. A collision led to Roma Capoccia getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Gervasio Tolino hit a great ball. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 80th minute, Amos Bordon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan-Joost Werner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After 92 minutes, Elia Cirulli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Roma Capoccia and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ecuador's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Roma Capoccia to leave the ground with a draw.
