The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After taking down the ball on Colombia's corner Luis Cazalla fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Claudemiro Tristão quite easily take care of the ball. Pascual Carballar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedito Rebelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. GD Almargense's Claudemiro Tristão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 24th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Montenegro in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudemiro Tristão saved GD Almargense from getting behind. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Celso Eiró stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from Gervásio Viana in the 53rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. Kevin Mastache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudemiro Tristão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Claudemiro Tristão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Montenegro in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute, Abram Sarmiento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
