Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Veiga in the 5th minute of play. 7 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olavo Pinto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Olavo Pinto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolf Hamberg in the 26th minute of the match. Cassandros Elite Team's Olavo Pinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of play. Josué Pedroso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Rolf Hamberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 40 minutes Cassandros Elite Team's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. In the last second Julio Vera throw himself and got hold of the ball when Josué Pedroso in the 41stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Cassandros Elite Team's Rolf Hamberg. But to his dismay, Rolf Hamberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The Cassandros Elite Team players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 61st minute of the match Cassandros Elite Team got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lisandro Guerreiro ran over to the corner to take the kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olavo Pinto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Olavo Pinto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 68th minute of play forced Cassandros Elite Team's goalkeeper Olavo Pinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josué Pedroso in the 70th minute of play. Josué Pedroso scored 2-2 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lisandro Guerreiro kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Michal Bulkiewicz kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emílio Bandeira in the 78th minute of play. Olavo Pinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 80th minute of the match. Josué Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolf Hamberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rolf Hamberg's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Rolf Hamberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
